HISTORY
The passion for furriery dates back to Gaetano Bitto, a leather salesman who started trading fur in the 50’s. He has handed down this passion to his three sons Dario, Massimo and Paolo who have opened their own fur laboratory thirty years later.
In the 2000’s, Bitto has started new collaborations with some of the most important high-end Brands in the luxury panorama providing its workmanship and know-how with the aim to realize a final product of excellence.
THE COMPANY
Bitto srl company is located in the industrial area of Milan and it manufactures fur garments and accessories combined with high quality fabrics.
Every product that comes out from Bitto is exclusively finely handmade.
The company has been leader in the manufacturing of fur clothing and accessories for more than 30 years now. At present , it employs 50 experienced associates.
The production process starts inside Bitto’s laboratories, where expert artisans work accordingly to the most accurate cutting techniques. Then, the tailors use their capable hands to assemble the materials and realize the styles. Needles and threads give life to luxury fur garments and accessories, unique examples of the Made in Italy quality.
THE BRAND
IDA LOU comes from the deep knowledge and research of the materials that Bitto Srl has matured in over thirty years of activity and that converge today in style.
IDA LOU has made its debut with the Fall-Winter 17/18 collection and it proposes highly-crafted fur coats, parkas and fabric coats with fur inserts and special details constantly keeping pace with current fashion trends.
The IDA LOU woman is a dreamer with multiple personalities, western origins but always enchanted by the East. Her glamour is minimal and it never exceeds. She is never banal and she knows always what to choose for her wardrobe: she gets changed very often but she is never doubting what she wants.
